Window treatment options for your home

By Adam Parnes Tweet

Once you have the Marvin replacement windows you've always dreamed of in your home, it's time to start thinking about how you're going to make the most of your investments. While your affordable replacement windows may be beautiful on their own, you can enhance their looks by adding the perfect window treatments. Not sure where to begin? Here are some window treatment options to consider for various living spaces in your home.

Roman shades
Roman shades look like fabric cascading down from the top of a window, layering itself along the way to create a chic, royal appearance. If you're interested in developing a luxurious atmosphere in a particular space, this might be the perfect option. As Better Homes and Gardens magazine reported, you can even make your own Roman shades with fabric of your choice for the ideal look.

Panel shades
If you have a room that has several windows and you want to create a seamless appearance, Houzz stated that panel shades may be the best option. Contrary to popular belief, these window treatments don't need to be opaque, either – there are now sheer alternative that can allow natural light to flow into a room while providing a bit of privacy.

Sweeping drapes
Owners of expansive bay windows can complement their existing elegance with sweeping drapes or curtains, according to House To Home. This can create an airy feeling in any space while adding a touch of luxury to the window itself. Just remember to take into account any items you may have on display on your bay window – you don't want to take away from their appeal!

Blinds
If you're interested in privacy with the option to filter in sunlight, blinds can be an ideal option. One might not think of blinds as a window treatment that can enhance decor, but these items have changed over the years. Now, blinds can be found in a wide range of colors and materials to suit your decorating needs. Don't count out this option just because you're afraid of it being too bland or dull in your living space.

Whether you have bay windows or double case ones to dress, these window treatments are all practical options for your home.
